SJV Weather for Wednesday, Aug. 9, to Tuesday, Aug. 15

An approaching cold front will bring partly sunny skies and a chance for mainly afternoon/evening showers/thunderstorms to the Valley Wednesday. Any lingering showers will dissipate overnight, though the front will stall towards the coast and keep a slight chance of afternoon showers/thunderstorms across the region Thursday.

As a low pressure system near the Great Lakes treks eastward, the front lifts back north as a warm front producing a chance of mainly afternoon showers/thunderstorms with showers possible Friday night into Saturday. As the low continues to approach, showers and thunderstorms are possible across the area again Saturday. The low pressure system clips the Valley early Sunday pulling a cold front across the region and producing a chance for showers and thunderstorms.

Showers and afternoon thunderstorms linger through Monday as the low moves into the Maritimes. Partly cloudy skies along with a chance for showers lingers into Tuesday with showers tapering off Tuesday evening.
