Madawaska names Picard finance assistant

MADAWASKA, Maine — Dana Gendreau, finance director for the Town of Madawaska, has announced Heather Picard has been selected to fill an open finance assistant position at the Madawaska Town Office. 

According to Gendreau, “Heather has already been a great addition to my office and I’m looking forward to working with her .”

Picard began her duties as finance assistant in July. Previously she was employed at Kmart Department Store in Madawaska in the human resource department, as well as a customer service representative. She attended the University of Maine at Fort Kent and has obtained a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science.

Picard’s duties include payroll, real estate and personal property taxes, pollution control billing and assisting Gendreau with daily operations within the office.

Town Manager Gary Picard stated, “Her past experience in HR will only enhance the duties requested of her in the financial office. We welcome you to the Town of Madawaska team.”
