CrossWinds residents celebrate birthdays

FORT KENT, Maine — Seniors at CrossWinds Residential Care in Fort Kent, along with staffers and friends, helped celebrate the birthdays of four residents on Friday, July 21.

Live music accompanied the birthday cake, as people gathered in the main living room. Ongoing renovations at the facility, which is marking its 10th anniversary this year, have temporarily made the activity room unavailable. “We have to have our activities in the living room, a tent, dining room or wherever, during our renovation,” said Patti Voisine, CrossWinds activity director. However, the upgrades, once completed, will include a larger activity room for residents and visitors.
