Hamlet to hail at UMFK

FORT KENT, Maine — University of Maine at Fort Kent Summer Theater will present William Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ at Fox Auditorium for four days at the end of July. Director Aaron Bernstein describes the show as “a wildly intense psychological thriller.”

However, as is often the case with UMFK Summer Theater adaptations of Shakespeare’s tragedies, Hamlet will include a blend of comedy.

“Expect a healthy dose of dark humor mixed in with the fast paced murder, mayhem, and ghostly visitations,” Bernstein said.

The play also will feature child actors as young as 5-years-old who are sure to charm audiences with their talent.

“Hamlet” will be performed in Fox Auditorium at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 27-29, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30.
