SJV Weather for Monday, June 5, to Sunday, June 11, 2017
High pressure settles into the Maritimes early this week, blocking an upper-level low west of the Valley, though increased cloudiness will prevail across the region Monday. Surface low pressure will move out to sea from the Middle Atlantic with the strengthening ridge of high pressure in the Maritimes keeping the system south of Maine as it heads out to sea Monday-Tuesday. High pressure near the Great Lakes moves eastward producing partly cloudy to mostly clear skies across the SJV Tuesday through Thursday.
A low pressure tracks up the US East Coast Thursday-Saturday bringing increased clouds and a chance for showers from Thursday afternoon through Saturday. A weak trough crosses the region Saturday-Sunday producing a continued chance for showers under partly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
