Fort Kent loses two on the road against Houlton

HOULTON, Maine — Saturday, in the first game of a doubleheader, Houlton’s Cameron Graham tossed a one-hitter, with 11 strikeouts, as the Shiretowners beat Fort Kent 14-0 in a five inning game shortened by the mercy rule. Nick Botting notched three hits and five RBIs, and Nick Perfitt had two hits and three RBIs for Houlton.

C.J. Rouchelle tallied the lone hit for Fort Kent with a single.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Shires once again were victorious in a five-inning contest, 14-1. Pat Howe struck out eight for the Shires. Graham, Botting, Nick Perfitt and Tyler Bailey all recorded two hits in a balanced offense for Houlton.

For Fort Kent, Austin Plourde knocked out a pair of hits.
