Police rule out criminal act in Edmundston death
EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — According to their preliminary investigation, the Edmundston Police Force has ruled out the possibility of a criminal act following the death of a woman in a dwelling on Saint-François Street in Edmundston on May 15, 2017.
The Police Force was called to the scene at 7:42 pm on May 15, after receiving a call for assistance since a person had been found in respiratory arrest.
The 27-year-old woman from Edmundston could not be resuscitated.
Although the investigation is ongoing, the police do not suspect any acts of a criminal nature. An autopsy will be performed on the body to determine the exact cause of death.
The name of the person will not be revealed until her relatives have been notified.
