VAN BUREN, Maine — Students in Danielle Berube’s 7th and 8th grade writing class at Van Buren District Secondary School created these “winter poems” as part of their coursework. The poems, along with other student projects, are on display in the hallways of the school. The school, which also houses elementary and middle school grades, serves students from Van Buren, Hamlin and Cyr Plantation.
