Janelle M. Madore (1930—2017)

FORT KENT, Maine — Janelle M. Madore, 87, died peacefully Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Fort Kent, January 20, 1930, the daughter of Damase and Elodie (Daigle) Nadeau.

Janelle was a member and Treasurer of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Fort Kent and also a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne of Fort Kent. One of her favorite pasttime was watching the Red Sox play.

She is survived by her five daughters, Louise Morningstar of Lincoln, NE, Judy and her husband, Roland Taggett of St. Francis, Barbara Pelletier of Wallagrass, Debra and her husband, Harold Pelletier of Fort Kent, Paula and her husband, Ron Eaton of Hermon; two sons, Donald and his wife, Joyce Madore of Fort Kent, and David and his wife, Jenny of Fort Kent. One Brother Alberie Nadeau of Fort Kent, and one Sister, Lorraine Boucher of Hingham, Mass. Janelle is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to both parents, she was predeceased by her husband Reginald Madore; three sisters and six brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2017 at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held at a later date in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Those who wish in Janelle’s memory may donate to Hospice of Aroostook, 14 Access Highway, Caribou, ME 04736 or to The Edgar J. (Guy) Paradis Cancer Fund Northern Maine Medical Center, 194 East Main St. Fort Kent, ME 04743. Services have been entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
