FORT KENT, Maine — The Town of Fort Kent will be holding two public hearings on March 13, at 7:00 p.m., at the Fort Kent Municipal Building to discuss a multi-business grant application the town is submitting to the State of Maine CDBG program for Micro-Enterprise Grant Programing (MEA) and another application for Downtown Revitalization Grant Programming (DRP).

The purpose of the MEA grant application is for working capital funding for multiple businesses to complete interior and exterior facility improvements, equipment upgrades; purchasing materials and inventory.

The purpose of the DRP grant application is to assist the Town in developing a downtown public parking lot and completing a levee extension project. The town leaders will solicit public comments at this hearing and will submit the comments as part of the application.

Organizers invited all persons wishing to make comments or ask questions about the grant application to attend this public hearing.

Residents may submit comments in writing to: Steve Pelletier, Office of Planning, 416 West Main Street, Fort Kent, ME 04743 at any time prior to the Public Hearing.
