Philip N. Madore (1930—2017)

FORT KENT, Maine — Philip N. Madore, Fort Kent, 86, died peacefully on Monday, February, 27, 2017, at a Fort Kent Health Care Facility. He was born on October 2, 1930 in Fort Kent the son of Denis and Marie (Cyr) Madore.

Philip was a Deputy Sheriff for the Aroostook County Sheriff Dept. for 42 years while also serving as a court security sheriff for 16 years. During the years as sheriff, he worked 33 years for the Fort Kent Postal Service. He was a member of the Fort Kent Senior Citizens Club.

He is survived by his beloved wife Florence Desjardins Madore of 66 years of Fort Kent.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan and her husband, Joel Dionne of Edmundston, NB; two sons, James and his wife, Linda Madore of Madawaska, and Peter Madore of Fort Kent. Nine grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson.

He is predeceased by two grandsons; two sisters, Laurette and Regina; four brothers Lionel, Reginald, Camille and Rosaire.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday March 3, 2017, St. Louis Catholic Church of Fort Kent.

Spring burial will be held in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are being held by Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
