Richard A. McDonald, Jr. (1961-2017)

HAMLIN, Maine — Richard A. McDonald Jr., 55, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Hamlin, Maine. He was born April 19, 1961, the son of the late Richard and Constance McDonald.

A graduate from the class of 1978 at Quabbin Regional High in Barre, Mass., Richard was an avid track & field and championship wrestling athlete.

Richard was a handyman, always happy to offer assistance to friends and family. He was also an avid animal lover, guitarist, and trained in Jiu-Jitsu.

Richard is survived by daughter, Kiley McDonald of Presque Isle; son, Brandon and his wife, Taylor-Kay McDonald of Presque Isle; two grandchildren; step-mother Paulette McDonald from Barre, Mass.; siblings, Michael McDonald of Douglas, Mass., Vickie McDonald of Barre, Mass., and Brenda and husband, Mark Marengo of Charlton, Mass.; six nieces and nephews, amongst many caring neighbors, extended family members and friends.
