PAWS Pet of the Week: July 18 – 24, 2016
FORT KENT, Maine – PAWS Animal Welfare Shelter presents Tiger as PAWS Pet of the Week in hopes that this little cat will find his forever home.
Meet Tiger. He is a neutered white, black and grey male. PAWS volunteers say Tiger is young, energetic and quite independent. He loves his daily exercise routine of racing after a laser toy. Afterwards, he enjoys basking in the sun in windows and snacking on cat treats. Technologically gifted, Tiger also loves playing games for cats on the IPad.
Tiger is up-to-date on his vaccinations and clear of any parasites. Those interested in seeing him, can visit Valley Cat Haven during open hours on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or call Jean at 207-543-7348 for an appointment.
PAWS is a nonprofit organization that rescues abandoned cats in the St. John Valley. To see Tiger or the other cats in need of a home, call to make an appointment, or visit during walk-in hours on Saturdays.
Organization members believe most pets can be socialized and prefer not to release them back outdoors, as winters are harsh in Northern Maine. PAWS operates as a no-kill shelter. Their mission is to get owners to spay and/or neuter their animals to help cut down on the population and give all animals a better chance at a quality life.
PAWS Animal Welfare, Inc. spays, neuters and vaccinates mature animals before they are placed out for adoption.
