FORT KENT, Maine — Claudette M. Charette, 66, died peacefully at her residence on Sunday, July 17, 2016 with her family by her side. Claudette was born on September 29, 1949 in Clair, N.B. Canada, the daughter of the late Leonide and Germaine (Nadeau) Lang. She is survived by her son, Mark and wife, Robin and their children, Mitchell and Madelyn, all of Fort Kent; daughter, Tammy Benjamin and partner, Dave Lauziere, her children, Casey and Tyler and one great-grandson Kyrie Garvin, all of Mass.; four sisters; Bernice and husband, Ludovic Albert of Clair, N.B. Canada, Louise and husband, “Babe” Saucier of Fort Kent, Mona and husband, Guy Oakes of Ontario, Canada, and Micheline and husband, Ray Gaudon of Ontario; three brothers; Nelson and wife, Norma Lang of Calif., Daniel and wife, Carole Lang of Clair, and Richard and wife, Rina Lang of St. Francois, N.B., Canada; her sister’s partner, Jean-Luc Caron of Clair, N.B.; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Eldon Charette; one brother, O’Neil Lang; and one sister, Nicole Lang. Friends may call from 8 a.m. until time of service Friday July 22, 2016 at the Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will follow in the parish cemetery.
